Our Summer Auction 350

29. June - 01. July 2021 | Vienna House Remarque, Osnabrück

Dear bidders and coin enthusiasts,

We are pleased to present you our Summer Auction Sale #350. From now on, the auction offer is online. This auction is another highlight in our anniversary year, because on July 1, 1971 - exactly 50 years ago - the coin dealer Fritz Rudolf Künker was founded.

Many great rarities from Germany and abroad will change hands from June 29 to July 1, 2021. Look forward to gold coins from all over the world, including a 10-fold Souverain d'or from 1751 from Belgium with the portrait of Emperor Franz I on the obverse, a 6-fold Doppie from 1786 from Ferdinando di Borbone or a gold medal of merit from India. But the auction includes not only golden highlights from Europe and overseas, but also from Germany and the section of the Habsburg Hereditary Lands and Austria. We recommend beautiful ducats in various weights from Graz or Klausenburg as well as impressive large gold coins from Bavaria or Nuremberg, for example.

The undisputed highlight is another part of the Popken collection with selected Löser / multiple taler from Brunswick, many of them extremely rare, some of them the only specimen available on the market. For example, a solver of 7 Reichstaler from 1620, which Friedrich Ulrich of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel had minted. It shows the duke in armor with a high hat on a magnificently bridled steed.

The next part of our auction catalog is devoted solely to silver coins. Among the 1,727 German coins and medals, we do not want to draw your attention to individual top pieces, but rather to the larger series such as Bavaria, Brandenburg-Prussia, Bremen, Luebeck, Palatinate, Saxony and Wuerzburg. Furthermore, you can look forward to one of the great rarities of Russian medals, a silver medal by J. C. Hedlinger, which Tsar Peter I, the Great had made in honor of Tsarina Anna. We will conclude this auction with German coins after 1871 onwards, including a proof of Frederick the Wise or a 20-mark piece 1905 of Adolf Frederick V from Mecklenburg-Strelitz.

We hope that we have sparked your interest and hope you will enjoy studying our new catalog!

Best regards from Osnabrueck
Your Künker Team

PS: At the moment we do not yet know if the infection situation in Osnabrueck will allow us to hold our auction with bidders present in person. This will only become clear shortly before the auction. We will therefore inform you about this in our newsletter and on our website as of Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
