The attribution of this rare piece to Apameia and the interpretation of the year as Pompeian era succeeds by a comparison with other pseudo-autonomous bronze coinages from Apameia (cf. Hoover, O. D.: The Handbook of Greek Coinage Series, Vol. 1-12, Lancaster/London 2009 ff., 1420). The year is on these in the same place below the elephant's head.

Die Zuweisung dieses seltenen Stückes nach Apameia und die Interpretation der Jahresangabe als pompeianische Ära gelingt durch einen Vergleich mit anderen pseudo-autonomen Bronzeprägungen aus Apameia (vgl. Hoover, O. D.: The Handbook of Greek Coinage Series, Vol. 1-12, Lancaster/London 2009 ff., 1420). Die Jahresangabe befindet sich auf diesen an derselben Stelle unterhalb des Elefantenkopfes.
