Description
STADT Silbermedaille 1748, von F. Marteau und J. Roettiers, auf den Frieden von Aachen am 18. Oktober. Büste Louis' XV r. mit Haarband//Strahlende Pax mit Ölzweig und Füllhorn sitzt v. v. unter verziertem Baldachin, umgeben von Attributen der Kunst und der Industrie, im Hintergrund Trophäen. 41,75 mm; 29,08 g. Menadier 27; Pax in Nummis 573; Page-Divo/Divo 143.
In Silber sehr selten. Feine Patina, vorzüglich Vgl. den Kommentar bei Hawkins, S. 650: "This is the French memorial of the Peace. With the exception of Holland, France, and England, none of the other States, who were parties to the Peace of Aix-la-Chapelle, appear to have struck any medals to commemorate this important event."
