After the battle of Actium, perhaps in 27 BC, Marcus Agrippa established a colony at Knossos by order of Augustus (cf. Bowsky, M.: Colonia Iulia Nobilis Cnosus (Creta), in: Praktika, 11th International Congress of Classical Studies, Kavala, 24-30 August 1999, Athens 2002, B 75-89). At its head were the two duumviri M. Aemilius and T. Fufius.
Nach der Schlacht bei Actium, vielleicht im Jahre 27 v. Chr., legte Marcus Agrippa im Auftrag des Augustus eine Kolonie in Knossos an (vgl.
