Description
KÖNIGREICH Directoire, 1795-1799. Silbermedaille 1796 (spätere Prägung nach 1880), von R. Gayrard und R. V. Jeuffroy, auf die Schlacht von Montenotte am 12. April. Uniformiertes Brustbild Napoléons r.//Siegesgöttin mit Schwert, Palmzweig und Kranz fliegt r. über Erdhalbkugel. Mit Randpunze: (Füllhorn) und ARGENT. 40,36 mm; 35,73 g. Slg. Julius 490; Zeitz 1 (dort in Bronze).
Prachtexemplar. Mattiert, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz Montenotte liegt in der ligurischen Provinz Savona. Im Jahr 1805 benannte er in Erinnerung an seinen Sieg das neugeschaffene Departement Montenotte (mit Savona als Hauptstadt).
