SACHSEN-WEIMAR, HERZOGTUM, AB 1741 SACHSEN-WEIMAR-EISENACH, AB 1815 GROSSHERZOGTUM Carl August, 1775-1828. Silbermedaille 1817, von D. F. Loos, auf die 300-Jahrfeier der Reformation. Hand zieht Vorhang zur Seite, dahinter aufgeschlagene Bibel vor Sternenhimmel//Sechs Zeilen Schrift. 39,43 mm; 18,82 g. Slg. Merseb. 4016 (dort in Bronze); Slg. Whiting 591; Slg. Opitz 3188.
Herrliche Patina, fast Stempelglanz
Bestand Hohenzollernmuseum Schloss Monbijou, Berlin (HM 618, MKB 170). Aus dem Nachlass König Friedrich Wilhelms IV.
Der Entwurf zu dieser Medaille stammt von Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
