Bare head of Aulus Gabinius, proconsul Syriae (57-55 BC)//ΓΑΒ(ινεῖς) | [ΟΙ Ε]Ν | ΝΥ(σῃ) in form of a monogram/Soldiers of Gabinius living in Nysa//Dionysos standing in front, head to left, holding kantharos in his right hand and thyrsos in his left; to right, L - H (ἔτους η᾽= year 8). Barkay -, cf. 5 and pp. 38-39, RPC 4828 A.
Extremely rare. The best coin of this type. Very fine
