Mairi Gkikaki, die nur die Exemplare in Berlin und London kennt, glaubt, dass diese außerordentlich seltenen Prägungen entstanden sind, als im Vorfeld der Schlacht von Magnesia ad Sipylum die Streitkräfte Antiochos III. im Umfeld Thyateiras stationiert waren. Der Apollo auf dem Revers verweist ihrer Ansicht nach auf den Seleukiden. Mairi Gkikaki, who only knows the specimens in Berlin and London, believes that these extraordinarily rare coins were minted while Antiochus III’s troops were stationed near Thyateira before the Battle of Magnesia ad Sipylum. She argues that the Apollo on the reverse refers to the Seleucids. Cf.
