The coin is dated by the 'Bithynian era', whose epochal year was the defeat of Lysimachus in the battle of Kurupedion in February 281 BC. It was used by a number of Bithynian cities; cf. on this Leschhorn, W.: Antike Ären. Zeitrechnung, Politik und Geschichte im Schwarzmeerraum und in Kleinasien nördlich des Tauros (Historia 81), Stuttgart 1993, 191-197.
Die Münze ist durch die ’Bithynische Ära’ datiert, deren Epochenjahr die Niederlage des Lysimachos in der Schlacht bei Kurupedion war; sie wurde von einer Reihe bithynischer Städte verwendet; vgl. dazu Leschhorn, W.: Antike Ären.
