Results Fall Auction Sale 2015
26. September - 02. October 2015 | Steigenberger Hotel Remarque, Osnabrück
Dear bidders and coin enthusiasts,
Our six-day Fall Auction ended with a total hammer price of 13.8 Mio euro (total estimate 10.5 Mio euro) which is the best result in our history. We would like to thank our customers and bidders for this success.
We would also like to announce the remarkable result of the Roland Grüber Collection of Brandenburg in Franconia. The total hammer price for the roughly 2,300 pieces exceeded the estimate by 50 % (total hammer price 2 Mio €). One of the many impressive results within the other auction catalogues was owed to a series of British gold coins. It achieved a final outcome of 450,000 Euros (hammer price) – 2,5 times the original estimate.
The auction of ancient coins included among other highlights the truly impressive hammer price of 200,000 Euros for a 410/404 BC tetradrachme from Katane with the signature of its engraver Herakleidas.
